Regular programming CIRCA art actuel 2020-2021

Deadline: To be announced (autumn 2019)

CIRCA art actuel is an artist-run center that supports the development of sculptural and installation practices, in a spirit of openness and renewal.

CIRCA art actuel exhibitions are selected by the Programming Committee formed of active artists members, board members, the director and a special invited guest . Our programming aims to represent a variety of generations, origins and a fair number of male and female artists. We value cultural diversity and encourage immigrants and visible minority or Aboriginal artists and commissioners to submit a file.

The selection criteria are as follows:
– the relevance of the project towards the development of sculptural and installation practices

– the singularity of the artistic proposal

– the variety of projects selected according to the type of practice
Each artist receives a $ 2036 fee for a solo exhibition.

The curators receive $ 1000 for their project, which must invest the two galleries of CIRCA, and the artists of the project receive the CARFAC stamp according to the number of artists of the exhibition.
