F E U celebrates the 30th anniversary of the artists-run center CIRCA art actuel, and demonstrates the vitality in sculptural and installation practices. The group exhibition that brings together the works of 14 artists will unfold in three different places.

In the first place, it will be the works of Fred Laforge and Catherine Sylvain who will be (re)shown at the Maison de la culture Rivière-des-Prairies. In their manners, the installations approach the notion of fire as an allegory of technical civilization. They are the traces of what remains as a profession, as a technique, if not as a factor of industrial progress. And since the French language offers a multitude of figures about it, some of which come from desire, fire is also an extraordinary metaphor to evoke the passion of creation.
