Topos is territory, landscape, terroir, place. By crossing it, inhabiting it and marking it out, we dig the furrows that give it shape over time. Topos is the vast rustle of traces, migrations and human structures, past and yet to come.
Topos is form itself, its potentials, its transformations. By stretching it, twisting it and folding it over and over, we sublimate a plural attractor, a swarm of possibilities. Topos is the ridge that curves to become a summit; the summit that stretches out to become a crest.
Topos is the framework of the argument, the playing field of discourse, the field of action of concepts. By taking up its rhetoric and spreading its rumours, we weave the shared network of discourse. Topos is the palimpsest of commonplaces that serves as our ideosphere.
Topos is everywhere, like a heartbeat, the sound of footsteps. By resonating in the gallery space, it sends back images of ourselves and of the other, updated in rhythm by the works that make up its theme. Topos is the fragment that, once chosen, unfolds as an echo to form a whole.
Topos is the 2026 edition of Collection CIRCA, an immanent event, in our image, that gives body and frame to the sum of our wanderings.
